Good Monday Morning

It's been a rough week. I mean really rough. Dad is still in the ICU in Cookeville. He's under sedation and still intubated but that's fine because right now all his vitals are stable and we're making progress on what made him sick in the first place. The problem with waking him up is that he's waking up extremely agitated and he's hurting himself. So we haven't been able to take the tube out or wake him up. I want him to but I'm worried that it just may not be time yet. I keep an eye on his vitals and all when I'm there. When we call I ask for specifics. I'm very well informed about what they're doing and I'm ok with it. I just can't be there when they try to take him off the vent. My head and my heart doesn't separate when that happens. Gram goes today for her doctor's appointment. We'll see what they can do for her. She's been having some bad days but she still won't move up here. I wish she would and then Jordan and I would take over her house. Before anyone says anything, I can't live with those two together. It's insane. I'll come up and help but if I stayed here, I'd leave more often than I would be here. You'd have to know them to realize what I'm talking about. It's enough to test anyone's sanity right now. I'm slowly getting back into computer work. I skipped a lot last week because my husband was off at the fire academy so I was trying to get a few things done around the house. Not that I did but it was an attempt. I'll get back to it though. I've done two puzzles. One Star Wars that I got from McKays but there were so many missing pieces I ended up not finishing it and just throwing it away. It drove me insane. There was no winning in that one. Then my husband got me this beautiful NFL football puzzle, shaped like a helmet with all the teams on it. Only 300 pieces and it took me one night to put it together. I think we figured 2 hours. That one was even missing a piece. A brand new, store bought puzzle is missing a piece. So that one is still sitting on my puzzle board waiting for me to email the manufacturer. I caught up a bit on reading. I'm on my last Carrie Ann Ryan ARC, I just need to sit and read again. We've been running until about 4 or 5 in the evening then I have to come home and do a few things so I've been too tired. Hopefully that changes today though. The shop is doing well. I sat it out on Saturday and that was a bummer. I live in the middle of no where so I figured it wouldn't work out all that well. It's why I usually combine it with a yard sale but that was just too much work in a short amount of time. I'm still doing well on Facebook and Tedoo though so I'm happy. Hopefully Angie puts up her Christmas market. We already talked about it and I'll need two spots this year. I have my fingers in everything. Speaking of fingers in everything, you'll never guess what I got!!!! My husband got me a bread maker!!!!! I'm super excited, I can't wait to start making bread. I think it's part of being an adult that you get excited over appliances lol. He was trying to make me feel better so he found it at Walmart and grabbed it. I love that man lol. I've been picking up more EMS shifts, I'm still working two days for Chris and I have one class down for my CPR Instructor. I have one more class to do before I can complete the class and go out on my own. Kristie and I talked though and right now we're just going to get this done and then I'll assist her on a few classes until I get my feet under me. Right now it's just to get my certification finished and then I can really learn. I pushed her kindness on extending my deadline and I don't want to take advantage. This morning, I'm working on here and I am putting my books up correctly. I started doing it while he was at the academy but I never got very far so I'm taking some time here and there to do them. I'm on C's right now. I almost skipped them lol, I thought I had already put in the new books but I didn't. Good thing I didn't get very far before I figured that out. So what is everyone else up to today? It's 4:30 in the am here and there's only a slight chill. Sadly it'll warm up by this afternoon.

Between your dad and grandmother, you have a lot going on. It's a hard time. I'm thinking about you. Quality time spent is where it's at.

We're trying. Today is the first day I haven't gone up to see dad. We're calling though to make sure there's no change. Gram's appointment was today and we'll see what her next steps are.

I've said a prayer for your dad and grandmother. Thank you for the update. Today someone is coming to get rid of my treadmill, broken recliner, wheelchair and pole lamp. I will be glad to regain the space.
