Good Thursday Morning

It's Thursday and I am officially off today. It should be a good day though. The hospital called about dad yesterday. He seems to be doing well enough that they're saying after they do the trach, they're going to transfer him to a long term care facility to get weaned off the vent. As of the 29th he will be off all antibiotics, so I am choosing to be positive. We meet with the Dr's today to see what's actually going on and make a plan I guess. I'm going to stay positive. Gram has her appointment for hospice tomorrow. We've been trying to get her to go through some of her stuff because she has a lot but we do what we do. Meaning we don't do much. She used to say that she wasn't throwing anything out because mom threw out a lot when my grandparents moved down here in the first place. Once it happens, mom won't be able to do it which means it'll fall to me. A lot of this has fallen to me and let me tell you, once it's done I'm going to be so messed up. I haven't done anything with the puzzle because I'm just waiting to see what the manufacturer does. If they send me the same puzzle which they should, I'll just take my piece out. I don't know what I'll do with the puzzle but I'll figure it out. The shop will officially have two new shirts as of today. We'll have a breast cancer shirt and a football shirt. I'm super excited about them and I'm hoping they sell. I'm also making Charlie Kirk decals ( how I personally feel about this could fill another post) and there's a 40oz tumbler I want to do for Halloween. If the things sell we'd be in good shape lol. I'm hoping to get back to reading tonight. I've had meetings the past two nights so I haven't been able to do a lot. The meetings are usually at 6pm and between covering the topics we need to and just talking we don't get out until about 8pm. Early for some but when you get up at 2:30 in the morning, it's rough lol. We're in the middle of planning the Banquet for the Fire Department and there are a lot of events coming up. Sadly I am not on the events committee anymore and that irritates me but it is what it is. I help where I can and just let it be. We've planned the Rescue Squad Christmas party. That agency is easy because we don't really change it up. Why change what works? My husband and I talked and we agreed that I would take an EMS shift on my birthday. I've done well juggling EMS shifts with Chris's grandmother so far. I'm hoping that I can catch up on all the housework that I won't feel so run down at the end of the week anymore. I'm also going through and getting checked off to work at the main station. I'm trained for everything up there, I just really need drive time. When you try to parallel park in the bay when backing up I'm pretty sure that means I need more practice. I still have that picture. There will also be bread today!!! I'm super excited that once I get home from the hospital today I will be attempting my first loaf of white bread. I'm starting small, I think the recipe says it's a pound...it might be less. Anyway, I'm super excited. When dad comes home he's going to be so spoiled. Yes, I keep saying it because I refuse to think otherwise. Other than that, I plan to finish the books today and try to clean the babies out. A few of them have decided that they don't want to use the liter box and have a corner next to it where they go potty. We're going to put a floor down so hopefully that helps a bit. What is everyone else doing today? Hopefully something good.

Well, one good thing is that you all know what is in store and what is happening That must be a relief. I hope you can stay positive. I know it is tough. I bet he will get spoiled when he comes home. It must be so hard for your grandmother. All of her belongs she'll probably not see again. That would be hard. How did the bread come out. I can still remember my first loaf of bread.

We're trying to stay positive but the outlook is very grim right now. Gram is taking everything better than we are right now. The first attempt at the bread was not so good lol but the second was awesome!

@JordanLader ...........Grim is certainly hard to take. I'm glad Grams is taking things well. My first attempt at bread came out out looking rather uncooked and pathetic.

When we cleaned out my in-laws' house we had tons of trash and tons of donations. It's a big job. Thanks for the update on your dad and grandmother.

You have so much in your plate, anyway, I hope you get a lot of energy to do everything as you plan it. God bless.
