Vouchers for travellers

We’re now in Beacon where we’ll have two nights in the caravan park. For every night that you book in here, you get a voucher to spend at any one of a number of businesses. The guy who hands out the vouchers when he checks you in is very generous and we were give three vouchers instead of two. We used them last night at the Country Club here to buy our dinner. I had garlic prawns and Vince had squid and chips. It will be a big night there tonight as there is free food and drinks while the AFL grand final will be televised. That’s Aussie Rules football and is a big thing here. After the match they will be playing bingo so we might go down for that. The photo is of some of the metalwork sculptures in the street at Dowerin.

The Sculptures look so life like !! Not very well versed with the concept of Caravan Park and the corresponding vouchers although I did make out what you have said here, may be 75% May be you can also write a post detailing how these Caravan parks work for the like of us, so that we do not assume too much.

I shall do that as soon as I get organised again. That's a very good suggestion and thanks for the idea.

Love the family. Very realistic. That is a great way to get repeat business. Enjoy

These are much more realistic than the kangaroo family.

I love the little metalwork sculptures, they are so well done. It is generous of the park to provide those vouchers, I am sure that it results in return customers for them every year besides helping boost the local community.

It's easy to be cynical about the vouchers. I'm just saying some are but I think it's a great idea. Most people would use the voucher but spend more than the voucher was worth.

That's so true. Sometimes it's hard to believe you know so little about your own state.

I think the sculptures are lovely too. I wish I'd had some in my previous garden.

Giving out vouchers seems very nice, and a way to drum up business as well

I'm betting everyone would spend more than the vouchers were worth so it's a really good idea.

Did the guy wink at you too while handing over not two but three vouchers?

He is what we call a 'rough diamond' - a little short of airs and graces but a kind man just the same.

I've told you that I love Aussie Rules Football and wish it would be shown in America again. That's very generous of the clerk. Enjoy the game! And I love the metal sculptures!!!
