I am Back with Avocado Ice Cream

Philippines
September 28, 2025 2:34am CST
This is my first time eating Ice Cream Avocado Flavor from Selecta. This is more tasty than the "dirty ice cream that I bought when I was in elementary, lol! Yes, I can still remember, I always ate ice cream when I was in elementary and high school, the dirty ice cream was my go-to snack, I always grabbed one at the cafeteria. After school, we ate porridge at the mini resto in front of our school, and then we ate crushed flavored ice that we sprinkled with chocolate syrup and marshmallows. What do you usually eat at shcool when you were younger?

I have never tried avocado ice cream. I have eaten avocado few times, but not liked it much. Maybe I will like the ice cream. I couldn't try durian in Singapore, but loved the ice cream.

Dirty ice cream is the term we use in the Philippines called sorbetes in Filipino language. It's the type of ice cream being sold in the streets in pushcarts. The vendor (sorbeteros) have those bell sound so people will know there's an ice cream vendor outside your houses.

I love ice cream. Avocados, I am not sure though. Porridge you can always see it everywhere. It's like a generic food you can see in Philippines specially at night. When workers don't have much money, that's always the first option for them. With boiled eggs or tokwat baboy on the side. During student days, we also like scramble crushed ice with choco syrup. Miss those times.

I seldom buy food after school since I usually just eat when I get home. I do like the cashews in there, but for me, the avocado and pistachio combo is way more delicious.

Avocado ice cream was at the “forefront” of the conversation in the sports world because of famous (American) football player, Tom Brady. He followed a special diet, and the only dessert he would eat is avocado ice cream. I’d like to try avocado ice cream, myself. I’ve just never had the opportunity. After school snack growing up here was usually fruit: kiwi, oranges, or a banana rolled in jello powder. I tell you, you roll a banana in dry jello powder (my favorite is cherry), and you have quite a treat.

I never tried that banana roll, maybe if I found a jello powder here will try it. Do you think he ate it because it is low in calories?

I like eating with a bun when I was a bit older, and when we were in college my friend and I will buy dirty ice cream and put banana on it. My mom bought it from Puregold.
