That's a wrap! The FIVB Men's World Championship has ended with Italy the defending champion won again here in the Philippines. In 2022, Italy defeated Poland. Team Philippines was able to qualify via host country ruling. Philippines defeated the World # 21 Egypt to push a deciding match between Iran for Round of 16. The Philippines World #80 almost snatched a game from Iran. Iran advanced to the next round. Bulgaria ousted the USA in contention to the finals. But Bulgaria bowed to Italy in the finals.
