So , after I had my accident and it was clear that I was going to be out of action for a while I put my bus pass on hold. It costs £65 per month and no point having it as I knew I wouldn’t be using it.
Anyway, I felt that although I still have til the beginning of November on my sick note ……and haven’t even started physio yet ! …… I wanted to start getting out and about a bit more. I was nervous as since I was last on a bus they have slightly changed the route. Also I thought …what if the bus stops suddenly ? I can’t hold on with my left hand ! Will I be able to cope…..
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet as they say and just get on with it…..
That’s what I did.
I was careful with where I was sitting , so no one could sit next to me , and knock my arm. I waited til the bus was completely stopped before moving to get off.
Yes, I made it.
I went to a couple of shops ….i had to get a Birthday card for my friend that I have to post tomorrow. I also got a couple of puzzle books for my Mom for Christmas.
I could only carry things with my right hand , but I think I coped really well.
What an adventure.

£65 a month for a bus pass? Wow! I’m glad my bus travel is now free. Now I just need an excuse to go somewhere.
