I’ve started my Christmas shopping !

So, by now I have usually got most of my Christmas shopping done and only have a few things to get.
This year , of course it is different.
I went out on the bus today …..the first time since my accident in April ….and I could only get a few things as I can only carry things in my right hand.
But, I have made a start…..
My Mom loves puzzles and especially word searches , so I was able to get the latest word search puzzle books ….i will put them away in my Christmas box and do the same in October, November and December ….that way she will hopefully have enough books to keep her busy til Mothers Day in March. ( I am aware that Mothers Day is celebrated on different days in different parts of the world ).
I will then continue with this method and thus ensuring that she always has a good supply of books.
Getting a few books each month also helps to prevent a big lay out of cash whenever I have to buy her books as presents.

I'm sure your mom is going to love those puzzle books. Getting an early start to Christmas shopping is something I should do. Usually I'm stuck for ideas and then have that big lay out of cash all at once.

I’m sure she will . I’m pleased that at 87 she is still keeping her mind active . Mind you, you would not think she is 87 st all…..
She also reads every day , vales every week and tends to a large garden. As well as all the household jobs.

I only have a couple of gift cards to get for Christmas each year. I remember when I was working how many people I used to buy for. I enjoy purchasing gifts for others.
