Auranormal Activity

The word came to me as I was sipping my morning tea listening to the distant chants wafting through the autumn air. It being a holiday, a good night’s sleep sends the mind to the relaxation mode. My body begged for a spa treatment and an hour’s workout was enough to fulfil its desire.
What is this activity? It’s listening to your gut, body, a prompting from some ‘voiceless voice’. When thoughts do not overcrowd or one has practiced thought control, listened intently to the sound of silence, one can hear it. It’s like a guided activity from someone known to me who I don’t see.
Many a times while reading, surfing the net, listening to some music or a podcast, or even watching an addictive series, I’ve felt an inner prompting.
Just yesterday, I felt like keeping the dishes on the table and not the sink but something prompted me to go to the kitchen sink. The egg was almost boiled. I had to switch off the gas.
In the evening, later, I saw that I was delayed for my usual evening walk and jumped out of my chair. When I opened the door, I found our usual stray mate waiting for her dinner outside the gate.
We don’t have servants so home chores are done by us. I left my study and decided to finish sweeping the room so that my sister could mop later. I found the vendor giving the newspaper waiting outside for his monthly payment.
I don’t know what the colour of my aura is. I only know that when I get prompted to take up some activity, as trivial as it may sound, it brings that unexpected joy which is in stark contrast to that unexpected fear generated by some sightless entity.

This is beautifully written. That practice of listening to the subtle prompts is such a powerful skill. It's amazing how those small, intuitive actions so often prevent problems or create moments of connection. Thanks for sharing this thoughtful perspective.
