A Train Trip after a Long Gap

During the Puja holidays we parents decided to visit our daughter who is fighting through her internship year. I couldn't think of a better word though I'm not quite happy with this word. This time of the medical training can be very harsh, cruel and challenging. The trainees have to suffer much pain and toxic experience. At the same time the girl interns have to face much risk to their life and dignity. Rape, murder or suicide are not something that are totally unheard of. We parents are tensed every day for the safety of our child. And we thought it necessary to visit her and do whatever we can to support the intern and inquire of her safety. This is a time when trains are crowded and reservations can be got only if applied for much early. We got the reservations but not on the trains of our preference. Yet, we are glad to have done something positive.

We hear stories of how hard it is for trainee doctors, especially girls and especially in some countries. I'm glad you were able to visit.
