Reaction to situation matters a lot

I have woken up many times reminding myself that in another life I could have made a legendary life coach or psychiatrist. I tend to have this keen eye on almost everything that happens around me and give my time a reasonable time before making a conclusion or sort of judgement. I for instance witnessed a kid spit in the face of a playmate one weekend. They were playing by a pool of water on a roadside next to my farm. Despite my shock I managed to restrain my self -tongue and all, to see what would unfold. I was bewildered to see the kid whose face had been spat on fake a cry. The offender quickly wiped of the saliva using her palm and begged the playmate for forgiveness. I of course intruded and warned the offender against playing such kind of games. However deep inside of me, I was left with a lot to ponder and I found myself with something worth noting down. Had the offended reacted roughly, surely some kind of altercation might have resulted!

It's interesting how the child reacted. There was a much more positive outcome than there could have been.

It seems it is wise to not react to aggression at times. This is sad that happened to the kid though.
