Ever wondered what to do next? Feels like hanging... don't know what to do. Didn't have the motivation to move forward. Have you ever been in this situation? What do you usually do to stay motivated and go forward? First steps really is hard...

I use to pray whenever I'm so sad and frustrated , read motivational and inspirational quotes online. Always think positive so that I can get over with that feeling and seek other people help like chatting here in mylot.

It really helps specially reaching out or even just listening or reading from other people point of views. It somehow helps with distraction and helps you get focused on what to do.

I have to deal with battling with feelings of feeling tired which could be related to the humidity outside.

Battling with feelings of being tired, it is really hard. Starting from waking up and you have no choice but to move, it feels like fighting against yourself.

Oh, I've felt this way for years. I'm not sure how I find the motivation, the day just goes by with or without you.

It's like come what may or go with the flow, right? Specially when you lost or miss someone who's special to you. It would be really hard to find motivation ahead.

I have that problem on occasion. When I don't have a to do list or my depression kicks my butt and I just don't want to do anything. Sometimes I give in and just wait it out and other times I have to dig deep to find the motivation to keep going. To me it's finding the reason to get it done. I have the sad reality of my work never really being done and even when my grandmother passes, it'll be one foot in front of the other to get things done with the house.

Finding the reason to get it done, nice advice you got there. Thank you for that. Maybe sometimes it's just that there will will be times that we have to wait it out, and soon hope that everything will be fine and we can move forward.

@annavi23 Sometimes that's all it takes. I don't recommend that all the time but sometimes.

Exercise and drinking water helps. Sometimes just taking a walk outside tears through the boredom. Playing any instrumental or looking at a colour without blinking may help. Some people have the capacity to simply still themselves. No thought, no distraction from the stillness. Yet to develop that.

@annavi23 it came to me as I was writing. Then I tried. The colour was a shade of yellow, not very bright. I stared, without blinking for a minute and a half and then closed my eyes. Stayed with it with eyes closed. A small dot of that colour appeared. No other thought. That stillness, calmness, no disturbance was a win over the mind's tantrums. I'll need to extend the time. The early morning green is soothing.
