Good afternoon, again.

I can't win for losing can I? I just finished eating after getting George medicated. The sun is out, and George decided he doesn't want to sit directly in it. Not that I could blame him. We have two other chairs we keep out there he can sit on, and he's more than happy about those. He has an appoitment tomorrow morning with the Gi, so hopefully, this GI will actually do something. The VA's convinced he needs an endscopy before they'll consider removing the tube, but George is a little scared of being put under. So, I'm hoping the doctor will listen to me. If nothing else, I'm praying she'll replace his tube with a better one.

I hope that the doctor can remove the tube even without endoscopy. That is a procedure my Mom had a few times after she had stomach cancer surgery and she hated.

She should be able to, they only want to do the procedure because of the fact George's swollow is slow and they are still concerned with asperation. And, George is takeing that very seriously, because he eats slow and barely sips at liquids.

@kaylachan - That is surely a major problem, my Mom after she had a stroke was unable to swallow.

@LadyDuck That's what I'm dealing with now. George can, but it's not as fast as they'd like.

I hope he can get the tube out. That would make everyone's life so much easier.

Not sure about that. George doesn't have good eating habits, the second I loose that control, I'm afraid he won't be around long after.

Best of luck tomorrow, I hope all goes well, Just for info I agree with George I am terrified of being put under, Luckily this had happened only twice in my life, What I did when faced with this I asked the doc to shake me awake the moment all was done, Help me at least and I was woken up and felt better for it knowing I was still in this world,

I don't blame him. I've been put under a couple times, myself. Didn't think twice about it. Woke up later, no clue anuthing happened.

I hope all goes well. Having a tube must be very uncomfortable.
