I Made it!

I had designated yesterday as the day to get to the bank and deposit my grandson's check from the Risperdal Settlement Program. I had to go because his ID card was outdated. I had readied myself for the outing days in advance. When it got here, I had to wait for Josh to get up. I was awake by about 6a. and had to wait for him until about 10:30a. I made it down the stairs with only a little pain. We had to cancel the first Uber because I had clicked on SUV by mistake and I couldn't climb into it. The second was okay and we enjoyed talking to Jefry about the different aspects of his new car. The driver we got for the return ride looked nothing like his picture and sort of weirded me out. He was not very personal able. I wonder if I should report that. But he may have just lost some weight since his photo was taken. I thought it was a rule that they weren't supposed to let other people drive for them. Maybe I am wrong on both counts. The bank transaction was quick, and all was taken care of less than five minutes. Then a short wait for the return Uber and we were home. It all took about 1.45 minutes. The climb back upstairs was the worst part of it all since my right knee decided to give out after all its exercise and it hurt like H*LL getting back to my room. I fell asleep and took about a two-hour nap. It did take a lot out of me emotionally and psychologically, but the physical was the worst. Now I have about four more outings I need to make/take. (Appointments for eyes, mammo, bone density and hearing.) But all in good time. I am in no hurry to set out again.

You're right, it's not only against the terms of service for both uber and lyft, but it's against the law. The driver should match the picture, or there should be some way to varify the driver. When I use rideshare I have audio tracking on (my phone records the transaction/trip) and I have a pin code set on uber, so drivers have to ask for the pin to accept the ride and drive off. Plus the licance plate should match as well. If the plate displayed isn't the plate not on the car, then you can probablly assumed it's not the right car. As for drivers not being personable, I've ridden with a few a-holes in my lifetime.

It all matched so I went with it. Just that the pic may have been him a few pounds heavier.

@celticeagle As long as the car matches, you're good. It's a red flag if it doesn't, because when you sign up to drive, you go through a lot of background stuff. Pics aren't always updated as often as they should, and I know the selfie's I've taken for Uber and Flft suck.

@kaylachan ........It did. Yeah, I just figured the pic may not have been updated and let it go. I'd hate to have a sucky pic that everyone had to see daily. Ugh!

Yes, me too. A lot easier than I thought it would be. My other knee hurt yesterday. Usually it's the right and yesterday it was the left. Weird.

@celticeagle My right knee is replaced. My left knee hurts and then it goes away.

Glad the day went smoothly except for your knee.

Yes, I am too. I was shaking through most of it but I made it through.

They are okay. Especially when you get nice driver. Some are not and it's a bummer. I have my wheel chair and some are very impatient about loading it and unloading it.
