A young bull moose needed to be rescued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CRW) with the assistance of the Bureau of Reclamation employees to rescue the animal that was inside of a canal in Estes Park Colorado on Thursday October 2.
The officials had to put the bull moose to sleep while they typed the moose's antlers and tied a rope around the midsection of the moose while a crane hoisted the moose out of the canal safely.
The good news is that the moose did suffer minor injuries before the moose was placed on dry land and released to the wild.

Those animals are huge and probably weigh 100s of pounds. Only mild injuries. That's good. Those fellows put in some work getting the moose out.

@celticeagle You are right since a moose is pretty heavy.
