Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 58 degrees F and raining here at the Jersey Shore. The nor'easter is approaching but isn't really here yet. There isn't much wind. I thought the storm was going to be Saturday night through Sunday night. but it seems that it will go through tomorrow night. I spent 3 hours at my uncle's memorial visitation. I got there about 15 minutes early and was surprised to see that my mother and second mother were there already. I knew that she was going to attend but I didn't expect her to be there for the full 4 hours. She did speak to her sisters which surprised me. I wish I could have seen her arrival at the funeral home. She hasn't seen or spoken to them in 6 or 7 years. I wasn't planning to stay for so long but my sister and her family got there and I wanted to see that interaction too. My niece and nephew obviously didn't remember my aunts and uncle but it was good to see them have the opportunity to see how much they've grown and the good little people that they are. By 3 pm almost everyone had left and I didn't have anyone to talk to. I didn't want to stand at the front as if I was part of the receiving line. I didn't see my uncle's ex-wife which surprised me because they were on very good terms like 2 other people I know. I hope she does make an appearance. He deserves that. Anyway I'm back at the apartment now with the cat crew. I've got to do some dishes and then get dinner going in the Instant Pot. I also want to make some sourdough discard crackers.
