Pasco County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) deputies answered an emergency call from concerned residents on Monday October 6 when a five year old girl was in Lake Lisa Park in Port Richey Florida who needed help from possibly drowning.
When the deputies arrived at the lake, they found a 17 year old male teenager had the five year old girl on a branch being held by her older brother.
The two deputies were able to rescue both children away from the water into a safe place.
The five year old girl is autistic which made the rescue by her older brother get praised by the deputy as a hero.

Glad it went well but the 5 year old should have been watched carefully,

Good for him...but your title says "brother"--shouldn't it be "sister?"

@Deepizzaguy Yes. I agree. I have a grandson with special needs. I couldn't imagine.

You are right since a child who has special needs was saved from drowning in a lake.

It was good that someone called it in, as the teenager might not have been able to stay there in that situation for too long. A good result that they both were rescued safely

That is a good question where the parents were when the incident happened.
