Those accidents were sad but weird

Sunday last I and the children of our foster home were given lunch for the repose of the soul of a young man Shubhadeep. Such a lunch is known as Shradh in the local culture. The young man was a computer engineer and had been working in Japan for the last six months. He has gone to a riverside for a picnic with his coworkers. The river was a shallow stream, I was told. He was wading into the stream when he suddenly fell down and his head hit a rock. He was brought to a hospital in unconscious state. He remained in coma for a month and could not be revived. At the same lunchtime a mother brought a cake to celebrate the birthday of her young son who too had died in a water body ( a pond). We prayed for the two young men that God in his mercy grant them eternal peace and that their parents might receive solace. Sad incidents but a thought lingers in my mind why those two young men had to die in water in such strange circumstances.
