Well, the good news is that when we got back from shopping this morning they had taken the marquee down next door next door.
The even better news is that there doesn’t seem to be any Lorrie’s, vans or cars in the cul de sac…..
….yes, I think that things are finally get back to normal here.
My Mom is so relieved.
There has been a great deal of disruption, noise, mess etc during the building work of the last few months.
The neighbours still have to replace her fence …..but I’m sure they will do that soon.

That’s true. But we had two properties being worked on at the same time by different builders…..you couldn’t even get on or off the drive as there were so many Lorrie’s, and, diggers, skips …..deliveries every day too …. Nightmare.

@Traceyjayne That would have been very inconvenient for sure.

@traceyjayne What a relief. By the way, I tried the salmon and potato fish cakes tonight - tasty.

The new neighbours have been having loads of building work done ….its been going on for a couple of months. Last weekend , Friday Saturday and Sunday they had moving in parties, and I think for religious reasons. Prayers. The whole cul de sac was rammed with cars etc …..each day started around 8 am and went on til late in the evening. There was food and fireworks.

@Traceyjayne Wow quite an event! They didn't invite their new neighbours though?

@Fleura they invited us and the people the other side of us , that’s all. They went but my Mom felt she didn’t want to go. She is 87 and not very good hearing and doesn’t really do crowds anymore ….also concerned that she wouldn’t be able to understand much of what was happening due to a difference in language and she doesn’t like Indian food ….it doesn’t suit her stomach these days. She agreed with them that she would go round at later date . They did take her some food round on the first day but she couldn’t eat it …..The Mister and I had it and we enjoyed it. They were kind to bring it round.
