I don't know why it is that I sometimes revert back to my older self. The fiction writer in me.
It usually does happen as the seasons change for whatever reason. Maybe that's because there is a darkness that comes with a winter, and the cold has a way of creeping in and taking all the warmth out of you.
It's easier to find the cold when the bones are chilled.
I remember back in the day loving watching The Ray Bradbury Theater. It was a great show, and of course, Ray Bradbury was a fantastic mind of imagination whose stories really got you wondering.
It started out with Bradbury in his office, sitting behind his typewriter, in a room full of trinkets and artifacts he'd picked up somewhere or the other.
He'd scan the room, and ask, "What will I write about today," before landing on something that caught his fancy.
And thus, the story would unfold.
I wrote "Brandon's Piano," which came from a dark place in my current life a few days ago. But I needed something else. I wanted to write. So, I took the Ray Bradbury approach and went with a post I read just earlier today called, "Vampire Bunny," by @RasmaSandra.
Let me look at this picture. At this bunny. Let me see if I can come up with something, like Ray Bradbury would have, just looking at that picture.
I actually did. And I will share it soon. I was actually surprised by what I came up with and hope you will like it too.

Glad you were inspired looking forward to what you came up with. It is the spooky month after all.

lol. If that was his actual office depicted in that opening scene of his show, it certainly needed some TLC, that's for sure.
I will be posting it soon. Hopefully people find this one. Brandon's Piano was left pretty much in the shadows of myLot.

I have written hundreds of stories and reviews; but over the past couple of years my imagination and writing ability have dried up....I don't know why unless it had to do with my husband being in the hospital and rehab and then passing away. I'm glad you are still prolific.
P. S. I just watched the trailer for Creepshow 2. It seems like it's a lot more graphic and gory than the original.
