Those Cockerels Have no Sense of Time

The farm in our foster care home rears chickens in a poultry. They are a source of income for the home. Chicken is a regular dish in the families of this region. Hotels and restaurants serve chicken dishes to their customers. Thus chicken farming is a good work for the people. Cockerels in the villages start calling before dawn at the right time. They begin the first call at about half past three in the morning. Actually, in those days when clocks and watches were rare mothers use to rise up after the roosters blew their trumpets before dawn. I remember my mother started her kichen chores after the first call of the village cockerels. However, the cockerels in our poultry farm have no sense of time. You would hear them calling any time of the night, even at midnight hours. And so, sometimes I get the thought, they too needed some education by their parents, which the chicks in the poultry unfortunately lack.

Our roosters used to wake us up early too. On a moonlight night, the birds often sing at all hours.

Sounds like they can be bothersome at late night hours if you're trying to sleep,

In Miami, Florida, they have a section of animal control solely dedicated to rounding up rogue chicken and roosters.
