If you could create a new holiday, what would it be about?

Do you remember that episode of Seinfeld where George Costanza's dad had created "Festivus for the Rest of Us" to celebrate instead of Christmas? It had elaborate unusual events and such.
If you could create a new holiday, what would it be to celebrate or commemorate?
I think I'd like "National Pet Day" or something where we celebrate our pets. Share photos, spoil them, etc. Oh wait, isn't that actually pretty much every day of the year?

I would have Opposite Season Day.
So it would take place during one of the winter months, and everyone would have to dress up in summer clothes, just for that one day.
Even if you had to throw on a winter coat over the summer apparel to go somewhere, like to work or to the store. Kinda like Halloween where you dress up in costumes, this would be summer stuff with beach hats and bikini tops with net coverups and shorts and sunglasses.
It would be something fun to do over the winter, yes?

Common Sense Day. A day we devote to stepping back, and thinking for ourselves, and dissecting all the noise to actually reflect on what we are hearing to determine if any of it actually really makes sense to us.
It would do us a world of good.
We can even call it Reflection Day to satisfy the politically correct minded.
