Day 5

Hello fellow mylotters!!! Hope all is well with everyone. Hard to believe it's been 5 days already since I had my lumpectomy. Still stiff and sore. The first 3 nights I slept in our recliner, so I wouldn't toss and turn, I stayed in one position. So, the last few nights I slept in bed!!! Of course, I was getting up in the night to go to the bathroom. Now, I'm waiting to see if they were able to get all the cancer and if the nodes in armpit are cancerous. I think the mammograms and biopsies got the breast toughened up, but oh,my the armpit is a total different situation!!!! I never knew just how much I use those muscles in your armpit!!! I do though when it hurts because of the surgery!!! So most of my time is sitting not doing too much. The hubby and friends pulled up the tomato and pepper plants. So, I can sit and bag and freeze them. I'm setting aside some of the bigger green tomatoes, so they can turn red and I can can them, definitely freeze them once they're red. Then I need hubby to cut the spaghetti squash is half, so I can bake them and then freeze them. I just have to take naps in between, as I still tire easy. ~Peace~ .

I pray it’s a good report for you. I had a lump removed when I was 20, and I was shocked at how interconnected all of those muscles in that area are. I didn’t move my right arm for a couple of days AT ALL, which was weird when I had to salute with my left hand. (That varies by branch…we salute with the other hand if the right hand is incapacitated, but the Army doesn’t. Details, details! )

I’m so glad you are checking in. We are rooting for you, and are glad you are able to do a few things. I’m sure you’d like to do more things than you’re able to right now.

Hello to you. Oh, yeah, the armpit is a pretty tender spot. Take it easy. Let the hubby do the garden. I had an ovarian cyst back in the early 80s. My doctor told me that quite often another one grows after about a year. It did and I had to have a hysterectomy. Take care. I hope you get good news.
