Mock Wedding of a 9-year-old Girl Averted at Disney Paris

A 39-year-old man was arrested June 21st at Disney Paris for organizing a fake wedding to a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl. The man was Jacky Jhaj, a British sex offender from the U.K. who had been sought for breaching his legal requirements. Cast members were made aware by a guest who had been paid thousands of dollars to play father of the bride but realized the bride was a young child. I guess in some countries the girls marry very young. But doing this sort of thing here, in a country that is just the opposite is rather repulsive.

It's in my list of the truly asinine. I'm glad someone reported it and he didn't get away with such a thing. And, at Disneyland for Pete's sake.
