I was wondering why these actors and actresses that so the commercials for the game playing apps why they are doing that.
If you can "really" make that much money playing these games online, then why are they doing acting jobs?

Yes, I did a whole Discussion on this. The game companies must be making big bucks for them to hire all these expensive celebrities.

The bottom line is this: Someone comes to an actor and says, "We want to pay you X amount of money to do this," and the actor says, "The commercial might take me a couple of hours to shoot," thus it is easy money and a quick payday and so they say yes.
Not all that complicated. lol. As for the celebs doing the commercials, they aren't using the apps themselves. They are simply doing the commercials promoting the apps.

They once interviewed an actor in a prominent role on the show, 24. He also did, at the time, a series of insurance commercials. He said the commercials paid a whole lot more. I wish I could remember his name because he’s been on a lot of shows. You’d probably recognize him.

I've seen them. I guess if the price is right they will do a commercial for anything.
