We’re Staying Out of Harm’s Way

I heard a rumor onboard the cruise ship that we’ve sailed 200 miles out of our way to avoid Hurricane Melissa I don’t know if that’s true but we are safe Boat is rocking a little with big waves but nothing too bad I haven’t seen any weather updates about Melissa but I know there are some Jamaicans working on the ship that are worried about their families back home

Takes me back to another time, on the USS Enterprise, when the fleet was ordered out to sea during a hurricane. Our ship, being an aircraft carrier went right through it to the eye. What a ride. I will never forget it.

@looeyville Nothing like a little bit of turbulence I suppose. Nice of them to try to sail round the worst of it.
