Who knew honesty could be so rewarding? ?? 10 days leave, thanks to a simple question from our boss!

I'm currently enjoying some solo time in our boarding house, as all my friends and colleagues have already headed home for the break. I'm not feeling sad or lonely, though - I'm just patiently waiting for my time to depart for the terminal, and eventually, my flight home. After months of hard work, I'm beyond excited to finally get some well-deserved rest and quality time with my loved ones. Our office recently had a much-needed break, courtesy of our boss's newfound emphasis on mental health. It all started when he attended a seminar on the topic and came back with a renewed perspective. He began asking us about our well-being, and I recall him asking me, 'How are you today?' My response was honest - I told him I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the workload, but I was managing. However, it seemed like many of my colleagues were feeling the same way, and some were more open about their struggles. To our surprise, our boss announced a 10-day paid leave for the entire team, and we were all thrilled! I immediately booked my ticket home, and now I'm counting down the hours until my 8 pm flight. I'm really looking forward to reuniting with my family and sharing stories about my experiences. It's going to be wonderful to see my parents and spend some quality time with them.
