Just Be Kind

Tomorrow will be Halloween. For one-night souls, evil or otherwise, will be out and about. After that the 'holidays' begin. Thanksgiving and then Christmas. They come on fast too. There will be people in a hurry and at the very last nerve they have. You know what that means. Yeah, jerks will come out of the woodwork all of them being as rude, crude, nasty mouthed and irritating as they possibly can. Many feel that they should always get the best treatment. The very quickest turn around and that they shouldn't have to put up with others whether it is store/restaurant staff or other customers. We have all had the sad occasion of meeting up with one of these types in our travels. But we need to always remember love and kindness to others is never wasted. We don't know these people's backgrounds or what they may be going through personally. Sure, that doesn't give them the right to be rude and or nasty. But we can only meet a person where they are at. Every person is an individual and can only deal with life at the place they are at emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and intellectually. This does not always meet where we are at.
So just try to be kind.
Kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows.
Be thankful for all the rude, obnoxious and difficult people you meet in life. They serve as important reminders of how NOT TO BE. Everyone you meet may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
I write this for myself as well as passing this thought on to others.

Yes, they tell us who they are by how they act.

I always ask rude people if they are having a bad day. They usually are much better after that.

I do that sometimes too. Some concern for others, even if they are acting badly, is a good thing.

Trust me, I know. I've probably turned on the witch switch a few times over the past month alone.
