Kentucky firefighter receives an award for saving the life of a child

Sergeant Aaron Dossey who is employed by the Fern Creek Fire Department was off duty in March when he was on vacation in an out of state water park when he saw a child who was having trouble staying afloat in the water.
Aaron jumped into the water to rescue the child and get the child to safety and took care of the child until emergency personnel arrived.
Aaron was awarded for his act of saving the life in Times Square in New York City on Tuesday October 28 from the First Responders Children's Foundation along with other first responders on National First Responders Day.
Firefighters are on the clock at all times to save lives when they are needed. Aaron deserved his recognition for his service.

Prompt action, such as this, certainly allows for a better chance of rescuing the child in trouble. Well done to the Sargent.

He definitely deserved the award. I hope that's not the picture of the child. It's a baby!!!!!!

That is true since firefighters never have a day off from fighting fires.
