There are several people here on MyLot that have an interest in true crime, serial killers and the minds of serial killers.
Last night I watched Part 1 of an interview with Jeffrey Dahmer called "Dahmer on Dahmer". Aside from the fact that it was interesting to hear his take on the horrible crimes that he committed, one fact was brought out that could possibly explain his behavior.
His mother was very mentally disturbed. During her pregnancy with Jeffrey, she took 27 pills a day including antidepressants, growth hormones and progesterone. It was brought out that the fetus could have been affected by all this medication; and I agree.
If you get a chance to watch this program, I highly recommend it.

Something turned him into a monster, I guess blaming that is as good as anything else.

You are kinda right...I have seen people in worse circumstances who have turned out good human beings- or atleast tried to be one

@LindaOHio Yeah. I've seen a couple of documentaries and interviews with him. He's a scary dude. Or, I should say, was.

@LindaOHio — yeah, that’s the terrifying thing. I couldn’t think of harming someone except in self-defense. But to just be so calm and nonchalant about murdering kids???

@FourWalls He said it was an obsession that he couldn't control. I still think the pills played a part in all of that.

I think I did watch that one. I've watched a few on Dahmer. Definitely makes one curious to understand what makes them tick. Many have been abused by parents, others not at all. I know his dad had no clue what his son was doing. No suspicion at all.
Their killing ritual seems to arouse certain emotions in their brain. Kind of like a high.

I don't know if I would want to watch this one. But all those pills could have affected him...but still....

I don't understand how people jeopardise their baby's lives...I mean if she was mentally unstable, she could have terminated the pregnancy...
