So, after the firework display on Friday we walked back to where we had parked ….noticed that it was outside a pub and we saw a sign that said “ Live music “. Well, as you know we do love our live music so we popped in to see if the band were any good.
We hadn’t been to this pub before …it was one of the old fashioned type Although nothing wrong with that. We were the second set of people in there so we had pick of the tables …..we selected a good spot.
The band were fantastic….a tribute to AC/DC and ZZtop.
They were called ACZZ Uk.
We talked to them for a while at the end and will be going to see them again next year.
So. We found a nice pub , a great venue for live music, and a great new band …..win win …

Ah, the days of going to pubs. My wife and I used to do that a lot more when we lived in Wisconsin, Milwaukee to be exact. The pubs and bars were just...
Better.
We don't that much anymore. Maybe I need to add it in to the budget. It's not that we can't afford it. I just strictly adhere to our budget and so, spending the "extra" just isn't something I am necessarily keen on. But I used to do what I called a "sup spend budget," which was just short for "supplementary spending." We'd use it for a nice meal out and some fun time in the evening.
Might be time.

We see bands at local pubs and we don’t need tickets so it doesn’t cost any more than going to a pub for a drink….

@Traceyjayne Well, what I mean is that, a drink at a pub is still about three times the cost of a drink at home. lol

There are few pubs in our area. There are some when there are celebrations. Nowadays hotels are equipped with live music. It's nothing really special about it. By the way, do you tiktok?

@Fleura it certainly was. We usually go up into town on a Saturday evening when we are at the caravan. There are a few places we know that have live music and we are getting to know some of the bands and they let us know when they are appearing locally.
