Easy Day

We voted. Wasn't much on our ballots. Mostly tax levies. Which I mostly vote no on. Then dropped a present off to a friend and talked to her for a few. Finally headed to Walmart and got a new shampooer. It's all put together now. I have looked at the book a couple of times so should be able to use it ok. This one looks easier to clean than my old one was. We did go play euchre tonight. I was partners with hubby. We only won one out of 3. But had fun. I will shampoo the carpet soon. After that it will be bedtime. Hope you had a good day.

I forgot that today was Election Day. Oops! I missed out on voting. I think we had one issue on our local ballot.

@MarieCoyle In the end, it didn't matter, because the ballot item was illegal and five hours later the courts granted an injunction against it. Somewhat restored my faith in our legal system.

I kept losing anything I ate most of the day but have kept some mashed potatoes down this evening. Pretty told me to stop trying to contact Social Security this evening. She thinks they're deliberately leaving people on hold because they don't want to man the phone lines when they aren't getting paid. She said to wait until after the government starts back up and try calling again then.

@wolfgirl569 Their online site says that calling later in the month will avoid the rush of people trying to sign up that occurs in the first part of the month.

They are working very short handed too. I was hearing people say they waited hours even before the shutdown

We didn’t have anything to vote on today. I did have a good day though as my dad took me to breakfast at a local diner. I love diners! I’m glad you got to play euchre today since you enjoy it so much.

Not much on our ballots either. I voted a while ago cause I have it mailed out to me early. Hope the shampooer worked for you. One game out of three isn't bad. Had a weird day as you can see if you read my posts. Ugh! Hope you had a good one.

We just had the metropark renewal on the ballot and some local offices. I'm glad you got your shampooer and got to play euchre.

Good that you exercised your democratic rights by voting. Each vote counts. Shampooing the carpet would be a lot of work. I am sure that you will be exhausted enough to get a good sleep.
