Something is happening that pleases me and will be sweet music to the likes of @looeyville and @porwest who I know will approve. The British Government have got something correct and are making education regarding personal finance mandatory. From now schools will need to teach things like budgeting and how mortgages work. A lot more useful than Latin. Of course it will take several years before society feels the benefit of this wise move, but it’s a start. I wish I’d had such teaching at school. I hope that the education boffins also impress upon today’s young people destined to operate restaurants, cinemas, airlines, hotels, schools, funeral parlours etc in the future, that providing good quality toilet paper for their clients is money well spent.

That's great. Now they just need to add 'how to bring up kids' and the world will be set.

I agree, this is something young people need to know. You would think their parents would teach them but in some cases I suspect they don't understand it all either!

@fleura Better that these skills are imparted before young people get their hands on money.

That news is most excellent. If only all countries would follow suit.
