My Life As of Late…

Hey there, fellow MyLotters. I’ve been busy these last few days and working on fixing my sleep schedule, so I haven’t gotten around to posting on here (obviously). Friday was Halloween, and it was a nice one at that. I dressed as Mike from Monsters Inc./Monsters University. Walmart had a shirt and beanie set, and my sister bought me the MU jacket for my birthday earlier this year. I handed out candy (before my niece took over) and, yes, dog treats, which most dog owners thought was awesome (I always asked first). I was offered some candy of my own, so I had a small stash in my pocket lol. My niece and I watched “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” two friends stopped by, and I tweeted with Donnie Wahlberg and friends during “Boston Blue” (I wasn’t sure if I’d be tuning in, but the TV was free, so I did). Overall, it wasn’t a bad holiday. Saturday morning, I ran out with my best friend. I think we went to Walmart, Target, and Dollar Tree. I don’t 100% remember now, nor does it really matter anyway. When I got home, I took a nap and a quick shower before I hit the road with some of the family. It was our annual Book & Drink Swap, which is basically a Secret Santa. Before anyone asks, we did it earlier this year so that most people could attend. First, we went to Barnes & Noble, and I ran over to Five Below and Sprouts. Once we met up with our younger sister, my older sister and I hopped in her car and headed to the party at (what I think) is a family-owned restaurant (younger sister’s in-laws). Meanwhile, my brother-in-law (older sister’s husband) and niece did their own thing. The party was nice and full of family and friends. We chatted, ate pizza, listened to Christmas music, and exchanged our gifts. My younger sister’s sister-in-law got me, and I received a Golden Girls book, assorted flavored instant coffees (it’s been on my list for years, so yay lol), and a Pumpkin Bourbon candle (it smells SO good). I love it all, and I can’t wait to read my book! I drew my sister-in-law’s name (brother’s ex-wife, but she’s been in my life since I was LITTLE). I bought her a Disney cookbook on her list, her favorite wine, Mickey Mouse shotglasses, Mickey and Minnie Mouse ducks, and a Minnie Mouse grow-a-towel. Clearly, I had a theme going here lol. She loved it, and that makes me happy! After the party, we came home, and I relaxed for the rest of the night. Sunday, I think I ran out with my best friend again, and then I didn’t do much for the rest of the weekend. Monday and Tuesday were business as usual. I’m writing at the coffee shop for a few more hours, and then I’m heading home for a few hours. Then, it’s our weekly Trivia Night. After trivia, we’re heading to my niece’s second job to pick her up. Afterwards, they’re gonna walk me home before heading back to the bar. Normally, I’d go, but I’m winding down and getting up earlier these days, so I’ll just head home. I watched “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas” on Disney+ while in bed last night, and I plan to watch “Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas” tonight. Thursday will be business as usual. Friday, I’m taking off because I have a few things to take care of around the house. First, I’m heading to the doctor’s to get my flu shot and have my blood pressure rechecked from my last appointment. I wanted to wait until the flu shots were available and get it all done in one trip. I wish we still had a Rite Aid next to the doctor’s office, by the way. :( Sometimes after I get home, my niece and I are going to take care of the dogs’ skin issues once in for all, including laundry. I’d rather not get into details, but it’s being handled. Later that evening, I’m going to the diner with my younger sister, our best friend, and the not-so-Little Guy. I don’t know if we’re doing anything else afterward, but I do know I’m watching “Boston Blue” later that night. Yeah, after getting a flu shot, I deserve some yummy diner food and Donnie Wahlberg on my TV lol. I’m not as bad as I used to be, but I still hate shots.
