Nancy Pelosi has been a political powerhouse for almost 40 years in the US House of Representatives including her 2 times as serving as Speaker of the House which is 2nd in line to the presidency. She has represented the district of San Francisco in California. Her father served in Congress too. She has been fearless and led the fight against Trump's effort to overturn Obamacare. She never backed down or feared Trump. Who can forget her sarcastically clapping at him during a State of the Union address and then ripping up the text of Trump's speech for all the world to see? Pelosi announced a couple of years ago that she wouldn't seek to remain as a leader of the House Democrats which paved the way for Hakeem Jeffries to become the minority leader. She has recently said that she stayed in office to help Democrats re-take the House in 2026. I don't blame her for retiring. . . particularly after that horrific attack on her husband which was intended for her. I know she still will be speaking out and privately speaking with House reps. I will miss her though. I'd re-watch the documentary "Pelosi in the House" but I don't have access to HBO Max any longer.

I agree but she's served her time and deserves to rest.
