Vulgar comments about a woman becoming a trend in India which is unacceptable

Recently a film actress from the South was asked some very lewd questions by some journalists instead of the film for whose review they had come. This enraged her and she shouted back at the journalists. However her male peers sitting close to her didn't support her protest but sat silent. This is something very unacceptable in the Indian society now. The woman is still not respected.

If this type of things has happened to others do the men usually stick up for the women or is it common for them to keep quiet? I'm guessing they didn't want to hurt their careers. I would agree that it's not acceptable although sometimes we need to realize that some choices we make might open the door to that type of assumptions. We're the questions they asked related to the film?

It's important to take the opinion of the actress about the where she played the role and not make vulgar comments on the heroine.

Who will take the action? The Karnataka government is quiet and didn't take any action against those pervert journalists.

That is so wrong. You’d think those men would have had the guts to easily stand up for what is right.

They aren't true men. They're cowards and support injustice towards women.

As long as there are men, women will be disrespected. Doesn’t matter the country or the culture. That’s very sad to say, isn’t it.

Yes, it is. I think the actress did something right by shouting back at the journalists. Such journalists should be forced to apologize.

It is pretty shocking to hear that that is how women are treated in India. It sounds perhaps worse than in some other countries.

It's wrong but the state government is doing nothing. Such journalists should be black listed.

Some men think woman should accept slander.
