I have just realised that The Great British Bake Off finished last week.
I had been watching it every Tuesday evening and picked the correct person who eventually won it on the final last week.
For those lovely MyLotters who haven’t seen it …..im sure there are versions in most countries ….but contestants are given baking challenges each week…the one who performs the worst gets booted off.
They have a different theme each week ….bread, speciality cakes, pastry, party, picnic, etc.
It’s my sort of show …I have learnt a few things too but mainly I like to watch them baking and seeing the flavours that they put together….sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.
Guess I will have to find something else to watch now ….

I think we got that here in the US. There are tons of food shows on our channels. Have you ever seen "Nailed It!". That's pretty funny. The bakers try to duplicate a cake, etc.; and there are many failures.

I would never watch cooking/baking shows. They're all either boring or they're televised so someone can harass other participants. Not my idea of a fun evening.
I hope you can find something interesting/fun to watch now.

I don’t find this show boring ….like I say I have learnt a few tricks whilst watching ….i know what you mean about people getting harassed, but it doesn’t happen in this show, everyone gets on and there is no nastiness.
I know it’s not your thing though .

@Traceyjayne I mostly read/let my laptop read to me or watch/listen to favorite YT personalities. I guess I'm easily entertained.

I love that show! America had a holiday version, but they only did it for two years. But our free public television channel (PBS) airs your version regularly. I saw about five seasons of it. I heard they changed hosts a few years ago, and I was disappointed when I heard that news

Yes. There have been several changes of presenters ….at the moment it’s Paul, Prue, Alison and Noel. Have to admit I’m not keen on Prue ….i am a Mary Berry fan.

I miss the Great British Baking Show. I used to watch it on Netflix which I don't have now.
