This is a universal symbol that represents existence, connection, and the cycle of life, death and rebirth. Its meaning varies from culture to culture, but it connects the Earth, heavens and the underworld. It also symbolizes wisdom, strength, immorality, harmony, and the journey of the soul.
The branches represent the connection with the rest symbolizing eternal life and immortality, harmony and balance, as well as strength and wisdom.
The Chinese, Norse, Celtic, Hinduism, Judaism, and Ancient Egypt all have their different examples.
