Been a few busy days

So lets see, Saturday one of my twins was going to pick up our youngest daughter to go bowling and said she was going thrifting. Then said mom why don't you come with and we can make a day of it, just you and me while the kids go bowling. She didn't need to twist my arm! lol Haven't been out in about 3 months other than going to my moms to take care of her and her home. Did just a little Christmas shopping and just laughed with her, talked and relaxed. It was so nice. We also got to watch my granddaughter sing at the high school that day. She was so happy to see us thinking no one was going to come to see her. It was beautiful and I think my favorite one was Java Jazz.
Been cleaning out more things that we no longer want or need. Still have lots to go. Just got the youngest daughters side of the computer room (from schooling for 12 years done) have to go thru the books and papers from school yet, slow but sure.
Tomorrow going to moms, need to call a few places and she has to tell them they can talk to me to take care of some of her stuff. Makes things slow and tedious. Plus is I figured out how to pay her electric on line, so that is easy now. Hubby is stopping and grabbing the mail so I can get the bills and get them paid when they come in. Hope to have enough time to sweep and clean some there too. Calls take so much time. Need to figure out how to close out one of her accounts and merge it to the other one so she is being charged for the one with just 2 things being done on it. Got her credit card paid off so that is done. Just regular utilities need paid every month now. Going to sit and make a list of places that we need to call and list what I would like to get done. Wish me luck! Hope everyone is doing well. Going to go see what others are up to.

Good luck! I hope you can get it all done as quickly as possible. I agree, it is a chore getting things settled for an older person to make them easier on everyone.
Getting out of the house is always nice, especially when you get to do fun things with someone you love.

@DaddyEvil We used to do the same thing, get all the kids in the vehicle and go ride around the country side, when we got to a T in the road we would let them pick which way to go, it was fun! I really loved it when we would find old cemeteries as we would stop so that I could look around and take pictures. Might just need to do that again this Spring/Summer. Nowadays it sure would be cheaper than shopping!

@Ithink My daughter lives with me or I live with her, however you want to say it.
When I still worked, she'd wait until I got home and then insist I take her to Walmart to buy her something... When I complained that I'd just gotten home from Walmart and she could have called and asked me to bring her something, she'd tell me the point was she was tired of being stuck at home and wanted to get out of the house for a while. It would make me grumble but I'd take her to Walmart while she grabbed whatever she wanted and then go home again.
I think she and I should start taking drives again like we did when she was still a kid/teenager just to get both of us out of the house. Gas isn't cheap but it's cheaper than buying stuff at Walmart.
