I am blessed. I live in the East, currently in one of those 'important' areas. It is an area that didn't flood because our roads have drainage that actually works. Our trees didn't blow down because the wind wasn't that strong. None of the houses where I am did more than leak because the roofs weren't made that perfectly. We got back electricity in about 50 hours as we did water. Most of the shops in The plaza nearby opened two days after the passage. But the rest of the island suffered unbelievably. From concrete houses collapsing, to sliding down a hill, to roads becoming rivers, to the farming areas devastated, we have to rebuild virtually from scratch. We are getting Aid from a lot of countries and charities. The question is can the authorities be trusted to properly distribute the Aid. To rebuild correctly and swiftly.

I am also. I live in an area where we get very little snow or extreme storms. So sorry there is so much going on there. I hope that the Aid is distributing correctly and that building begins soon and is done correctly. I hope it all goes well.

there are areas they claim are 'unreachable' although the tv news seems able to get there. Lots of places seem ignored
