Today's been eventful. And, I gave George his last dose of blood thinner for a while. I have to pause the blood thinner two days prior to the procedure. Since he gets it twice a day, that meant the last dose was tonight. He ate some yogert this morning and put up a fight for his peg tube feeding. But, I got one of two done. Hopefully with it nearing midnight I'll get the other done.

The hospital calls it an EDG, but it's basically an endoscopy. Well, I probably botched that, but it's the thing where they take a camera and look inside you with it.

Why are they doing an endoscopy on George? Is he stable enough to have that done?

He is, and they need to look down there and see where the tube is before they take it ut. If there's scare tissue (which does happen over time) and they don't know where it is, it could cause internal bleeding.
What scares me, is he doesn't want them to put a new one in. He keeps saying that if it kills him, it kills him. He said that again, today and refused to talk further about it. I have to figure out where his head is, because I have to make the decisions once they put him under. Do I respect his wishes, or do I go against them and go with what the doctor recommends?

I'm more scared of what happens after. I think I'm more nervous than George is.

I hope George let you do the midnight feeding.

He's been good about asking for it, and actually wanted hot dogs.
