why sell an iPhone for $1200 when it costs $650 to make

November 19, 2025 2:20am CST
I did a little research and I discovered that an iPhone may cost between $550 and $650 to make but I wonder why it sells for $1200 and more. Can someone explain to be the reason for this high end price?

Sure, I can explain it. People will pay that... So why not sell them for whatever people will pay? It's called good business.

It is called profit and the company wants as much profit as they can get from the cell phone.
