My son's birthday gift to me was a one-week trip to South Korea. It is a beautiful, clean, and refreshing country that I wish I could stay longer.
The air is so refreshing and pure, the streets are clean, and our trip to the Gyeongbokgung Palace and Namsam tower was enjoyable and interesting. We also visited the building that my fave band helped to build - the Hybe Building. I didn't meet them, though.
I tasted genuine Korean delicacies that I had never tasted before, and I savored most of them.
Nevertheless, our Korean guides were friendly and fun to be with despite our little difficulties in conversing. All in all, it was one of the best gifts for me.
Have you ever wished you could stay longer in a country or area that you have visited?

After the earthquake and typhoons, I was worried about you. I'm glad you've been on a trip and missed all the excitement at home!
Korean foods are good, most of them, at least. We have a good Korean restaurant that Pretty and I like here.
No, I'm always ready to go home after traveling somewhere. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

Thanks for worrying about me. I was actually here during those disasters, but we are in Central Luzon, so we were not directly affected, but I commiserate with those affected.
They let me taste samgyetang, and I liked it. Have you ever tasted it?
Of course, there's really no place like home. Take care.

@Jenaisle I'm glad you didn't have any problems during the disasters.
No, I've never heard of it before.
You, too.

Belated happy birthday to your son! That was such a wonderful gift you gave him. By the way, how old is he now?
When I was in my 30s, I also got the chance to travel to different places outside the Philippines—like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. And just like you, every time my trip was about to end, I always wished I could stay a few more days. I really enjoyed the different scenery, the food, and the culture in each place.

@Jenaisle Oh, he’s such a sweet son. I can imagine how happy and excited he must be to bring you to South Korea. That’s exactly how I felt when I brought my mom here to the U.S.

Sounds like a great visit. The picture looks splendid.
I was in UK during the summers of 2006 and then I wanted to stay longer but could not.
Nice to hear such fine things about South Korea.

I was to UK during winter months as well.
It was kind of a constant max of 7 to 9 C and minimum near zero.
Not Very freezing but the cold winds were a challenge for someone from North Indian plains where it is cold but the winds felt even chillier as if coming from the North Pole !

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Whenever we visited the Florida Keys and Everglades, I wished I could stay longer.
