The front door’s at the back.

I do like flying in small planes where you actually see the propellers going round - so reassuring. The fiddly wee Emerald Airlines ATR 72 that I flew to Scotland in today was a treat. I always sit at the back in these planes since it’s through the back you get in and out. That way I get to be first out. There is no front door, or at least the front door is at the back and that’s where the better, more expensive seats are. It was a short flight, just forty five minutes but advertised as longer so that if there’s a slight delay they still arrive on time. Sneaky. As soon as we levelled out at cruising altitude it was time to start coming down again. Now I’ve the reverse flight to do on Wednesday.

I’ve never been on a plane like that.

Way back when Russia had the airline Aeroflot you had to get in through the back,

I've been on one of those little planes. It was so small and so few passengers we had to actually sit in certain positions to balance the plane.

@fleura I’ve been asked to move several times. Made me feel like ballast.

It's okay being first out but it wouldn't make much difference in an emergency.

I actually prefer flying in small planes. I feel safer.
