I have not been active here for last two days. When I returned home after attending the wedding in a small town, I recieved a call from this city. At the other end was my friend who told me he had found a copy of the book I had lost, because rats had destroyed it a few days back. He wanted me to see it and ensure if it was the same book I was looking for.
Since I am missing the book badly, I left for this city yesterday morning. I have no words to describe how excited I was.
My friend took me to the bookstore and showed me the book. I saw the book and all my excitement was gone.
It was not the book I was looking for.
With a heavy heart I thanked my friend and requested the shopkeeper to please search a copy of it is available somewhere.
Tomorrow I'm leaving back to my home.

I can imagine the let down you felt. I'm sorry it wasn't the book you wanted.

Thank you. I've requested my friends in metro cities to look for the book and inform me if it is available there.

That was really disappointing. You travel for something but have to come back empty hand is both a wastage of time and money.

Thank you. I've not left for home. Tomorrow we will go to another bookseller who sells very old books. My father had bought the book in 1965. It was a old book. I've read it several times, but every time I read it, I felt I was reading it for the first time.

Oh, no. I am so sorry. That must have been a heart sinking moment. Perhaps the shopkeeper, now that he’s aware, really will find it now that he knows to look for it.
It is wonderful to see you back here though. I am glad you joined us on Mylot, once again.

Thank you. I reached the city and my friend took me to the bookstore. I was very no happy and eager to buy the book, but my excitement didn't last long. When I saw the book, I was disappointed. It was a book with the same name, but it was not that one.
I'm waiting for a call from the owner of the bookstore. He will call me if he finds it.

Thank you. The book was actually a folktale written in the form of a short novel. A folktale of our northern state, Uttaranchal. It was written in Hindi. Many other books by the same writer are all available except the one I'm looking for.

Thank you. It was a sixty years old book. I don't know if I would get a copy somewhere. However I'm trying.

Thank you. I'm losing hope. It's not available in Let bbAmazon and even not in the bookstores that are in this city. In coming days I'll have to travel to the state the author of the book belonged. Let me see if I may get there.
