When you hear about a friend (who should know better) making what seem like poor choices do you say something or mind your own business/

I know someone who seems to act in an inappropriate manner.. She makes decisions which really don't seem to be in her best interest..as some of them could potentially have serious repercussions. I have tried to talk to her before, but I guess at some point you just have to let them make their own poor decisions..What do you think?

Some people seem programmed this way. It can be impossible to change their behaviour or help them.

I would let them learn the hard way that their attitude will be their undoing since the burden is on them. A rule that my former employer told everyone in the company at a team meeting many years ago,

Sometimes there doesn't seem to be any other way.

It sounds like you did all you reasonably could. I think you have done right by her as a friend, especially if you have made multiple attempts at reaching her.

You can always try to tell someone your honest opinion . . . but ultimately the decision is on that person. In one ear and out the other happens a lot . . . some people just won't listen and might learn the hard way.
