Shoes?

I know some people have a lot of shoes. Maybe not Imelda Marcos level of shoes, but more than a few pairs. Last winter I had to buy a new pair of shoes. Not want to, had to. I had been gluing my right heel back to the rest of the shoe. And then I walked out of my left sole. I took a step and the sole stayed behind. Now, these shoes are not cheap. Probably the reason they lasted... 7 years. I will admit I don't wear them every day. I wear a kind of flip flop, one that neither goes between any toe and is adjustable. I normally find them in the men's shoes at places like Walmart... which I haven't been to in like 3 years. Yes, they are reaching their expiration date as well. But... I have discovered not stores for my shoes in town, not even in state... I had to go to a web site in New Orleans for my shoes. I guess it is a good thing I finally found the size that made my very fussy feet happy. I'm a 5 foot tall female, I wear a size 8 triple wide shoe. I don't wear them every day, in fact, if I stay in the house I'm apt to not put anything besides my flip flops on. I can barely walk barefoot. The flip flops I wear are built with arch supports and other things, along the line of helping guys who want to do stuff. I also wear arch support straps and in the last 4 years have been wearing pressure hose (they zip up.) Honestly, it should give you an idea of how bad my feet are. When I had the house remodeled in 1999 I had the one shower fitted with a bench so I can sit while I shower. Yes, there are some parts I stand for, since I can stand, but most of the shower is sitting. So, a good friend of mine and I were talking shoes. I told her that I had brought both shoes with me to see her, the shoe shoes for doing stuff while I'm dressed, but if I had to go to the bathroom I had my flip flops. Today, while I'm still dressed from other stuff I did today, I took my shoes off and am in my flip flops. We are going into winter, and that means I'll be wearing warm socks while wearing my flip flops, I do have some fuzzy slippers, but they like to twist around and end up in some un-shoe like shape on my feet. I am considering taking them apart and maybe attach them to my flip flops. Honestly, I had wanted to go get a new pair this last summer, but... well... my summer was awful, and I don't think I can talk these flip flops into another year. So, how many pairs of shoes do you have? Ya know... when my roommate comes home, if she isn't fitted with a artificial leg, she'll only need 1 shoe from now on.

I have 5 or 6 pairs. That's counting my boots and sandals.

My late mom had to get her shoes at a certain shoe store; ironically, in Branson, Missouri. We used to go there for vacation every year, and my mom found the shoe store in the old, downtown part. From then on, we’d go there every year to see what they had.

I have four pair of sandals (two black pair and two brown pair) for summer, and six or seven pair of tennis shoes, two pair of dress shoes and a pair of hiking boots. There are two pair of moccasins for inside the house but I've never actually worn those. Pretty and I both go barefoot in the house.

I have around four pairs of sneakers and slippers inside of the home.
