When I have some health issues, I usually analyze my body and try myself to discover what treatments I can do. I don't usually believe doctors because they are also humans and depend on usor what we say when they do diagnosis. Well, as usual it happened today when I went to the hospital. I told the doctor that I might have thyroid problem because I feel different with my thyroid. But the symptoms that show doesn't really show problems with thyroid he said but he still suggested for some laboratory tests and ultrasound to make sure.

I don't trust the doctor 100%, seeing my mother's condition actually makes me question whether the medication is right.

Same as you, I tend not to believe doctors. I hope the tests will show what is the problem.

I have a problem with my Thyroid, and I wouldn’t have known except for the test my doctor wanted to run. I used to trust my doctors implicitly, until I got some who told me my pain was in my head. Well, after five years of begging for an MRI, I was finally able to prove it was not in my head at all. But after experiencing side effects never revealed to me on some medications, I do go home and search information about whatever the doctor just prescribed me.

Generally, yes. They took all that schooling for a reason. I am blessed, too, with doctors who listen to me. When I tell them that 99.1 is a fever for me, they listen because my normal body temperature is about 97.5. Someone who doesn’t know me would say 99.1 isn’t that elevated from “normal” (98.6).

I have been lucky not to have any diseases, and so I do not go to any doctors.

I hope you get the tests taken to confirm the diagnosis.

I believe doctors when they act like they are listening. It varies on how well the conversation goes. Some out are desperate to make money so they'll say anything hoping you'll come in for more appoitments.
