Recently, Reggae pioneer and cultural icon Jimmy Cliff passed away at the age of 81.
The celebrated Jamaican artist, known for his charismatic voice and global hits, died following a seizure and pneumonia. His wife, Latifa Chambers, confirmed the news via a social media post, requesting privacy during this profoundly sad time.
Cliff was instrumental in introducing reggae to an international audience, famously starring in the 1972 crime drama "The Harder They Come", which became a cornerstone of Jamaican cinema.
His songs, including "Many Rivers to Cross," "You Can Get It If You Really Want," and the chart-topping "I Can See Clearly Now.." blended hopeful, upbeat rhythms with socially conscious lyrics.
The Grammy Award winner's work cemented his legacy as a true cultural giant whose music resonated across generations and continents.
