China's exports hit One Trillion Dollars. Those of us who have some knowledge of world trade knew that China trades with most countries in the world. China comes in with some Belt and Road project. The main employees are from China. They bring their families. While they work on the roads or build the bridges, their families run various businesses. They open a shop, sell their products cheaper than local goods, and make money for themselves and their country. Of course no one in America, especially the President knows this. Many nations have their products purchased by American companies which then transport them to America. It is those companies which pay the tariffs. Countries which do their own exporting raise the prices to cover the tariffs. It is Americans who pay the tariffs. Americans which feel the price increases. Finding new markets is easy. Most countries prefer NOT to buy from America so swarm countries selling similar products. The Tariffs have been great for World Trade leaving out America.

we sell a product to an American company. They pay us. When they reach the US they pay the tariff. We are not importing... they are.

I actually know something about trade with the US and how we, as most 3rd World nations have quietly moved away, buying from other places. If you came here you would see a few US items... but most either local or imported from other nations. You would see the same if you went to Ghana.

I should go to San Francisco's Chinatown and see if prices are up there. I used to be able to get really nice soup bowls and spoons there for a dollar or two.
