Having been an alcoholic and suffered a lot as a result of overindulgence in drinking, I made a decision to quit. However, many of my friends still do drink, dangerously. I was so much moved by the miserable lives that drunkards go through. That is how I opted to use my writing skills to try and contribute in the fight against alcoholism. In mind are many of my suffering friends. Unfortunately, one of my friends, just a village away has succumbed to liquor related complications before he could read my upcoming novel, “Liquor Strike” which is meant to be of help to struggling alcoholics.

I'm sorry you've lost a friend. I hope you're able to get your book out there soon so it can hopefully help others.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend, and yes, drinking is a huge thing that many can't get over alone. I hope that others get to read the novel, and I pray that they find help within it. You are writing to help others, and I hope that you continue to use your gift. Please do not stop writing; just keep going and tell your story.

Sorry for your friend. For some it is a way of coping, but overindulging never did any good.
